Notes/Stories from the Week
- An unexpected hospital visit
- Missionary life always brings crazy stories! After a lesson , we got a frantic call from the sister missionaries in our area saying that an investigator they just had lunch with was in an ambulance after having a panic attack and passing out during lunch with them. Sister Luczak is currently training a missionary from Mexico who can't speak English and has just startd learning Japanese. Thus, Sister Luczak had quite the reason to freak out with the whole situation, but handled it like a pro! We took a member with us and all went to the hospital to check on the investigator in the emergency room. She apparently has those panic attacks relatively frequently and rarely leaves her house because of it. I am happy to report she recovered and is back to normal again! Missionary life. Gotta love it.
Miracle/"Tendy Mercy" for the Week
We had a lesson with a man named Yoshikawa San, an older man with a bad leg due to a stroke 7 years ago. The sisters found him first, and all four of us met him this past week. We taught him the basic idea that he had a loving Heavenly Father that we can pray to. We then tried to talk about other teachings of Christ, but he kept bringing everything back to prayer! He loves the idea of being able to pray from his house! We have another lesson with him this week!
